Neon Signs Around Town

You might think that I have posted these images in the past, but that would be inaccurate. I have posted images of the OTHER sides of these signs in the past.

Now you have seen both sides, and you can mark that off your to-do list.

Is this a technical difference? Or are you running out of interesting things to capture?

Have a great weekend!

you're inspiring me to go around town and capture some of the great neon signs here that are gradually disappearing...like this one of a famous record store, Sam's, that used to be on Yonge Street [url]http://spacing.ca/wire/2007/06/12/sam-the-record-mans-neon-sign-to-be-auctioned/[url] Sun 7-Jun-2009 17:31

Olivia quit her league soccer, and we were disappointed. It's a long story, but she defends it well, so we respected her decision. From our perspective, which she can't appreciate, she has an outstanding talent. We also spent a lot of money and considerable time to support her. At least some of her equipment isn't going to waste; she decided that school team soccer was still okay.
And she played in her good old aggressive manner, as a forward on both the left and right sides, scoring from both up close and far out ("if you don't shoot, you can't score"), giving numerous assists to her less experienced teammates, taking the trash talk in stride, and most of all, really feeling good at the end of the game.
Plus, she's strong and beautiful, and I love that.

Win some and loose some. You just need to keep guiding them in the right direction. Sat 6-Jun-2009 05:09

So it's true. No. 5 is alive! I would be interested in hearing the arguments of a child you and your wife have raised. Fri 12-Jun-2009 19:40

Olivia is such a beautiful name.

Her experience isn't going to waste. I'm sure the game has helped make her who she is today: Strong and beautiful.

Another little tiny scene, this time from inside our church as the choir practiced.
This one took me 17 years to build.

You worked quite fast. I would estimate 30 years at least,,, Sun 31-May-2009 12:33

Click, my work came at the expense of all else. I'm now in the process of getting to know my family and trying to find a job. Wish me luck! Mon 1-Jun-2009 01:30

Weinermobile! (not my foto)

A co-worker shared this shot of a scene he caught on the road the other day. It sparked a series of one-liners that I thought should be shared here.

Dave: Brian took this photo while driving down the highway the other day. Frankly, (pun intended) it makes me hungry!

Me: He's lucky he was able to ketchup to it! What a job that would be, driving the weinermobile. Interesting for a day or two, but I wouldn't relish it. Bumper sticker idea for the Oscar Mayer hot dog vehicle: Let's Not Meat By Accident. Oh, please - stop! My sides! Hahahaha!

Dave: Ha!! OMG, I tried to think of a couple more, but DOG... you MUSTARD it! HA-ha-ha! Ok, that one was a s-t-r-e-t-c-h. In any CASE, hope you all have a great weekend!

Me: Pretty funny, Dave. But I don't want this to turn into an ugly pun-off. I have no beef with you.

Brian: Some of the puns you guys have braut forth are the wurst. Now let's get back to work before the boss grills us.

Dave: Yeah, it is getting a bit cheesy, but each have not been onion-riginal in the slightest.

reminds me of the legendary corvette (unsafe at any speed -- or, in hotdog terms, unsafe at any degree) Sat 23-May-2009 15:31
